Referral Template (Better Access / MHTP)

 

A completed Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) or a standard referral letter is accepted.

Please include:

 

  • Patient’s details & DOB

  • Number of sessions approved

  • Relevant clinical history & presenting concerns

  • Risk considerations (if any)

  • GP details & provider number

 

3. Appointment Availability

Reflective Room Psychology offers:

 

  • Monday AM & PM

  • Tuesday AM & PM

  • Wednesday AM & PM

  • Thursday AM & PM

After hours appointments are available pending request.

Telehealth appointments available Monday – Thursday.

Current wait time: 2 days for new clients.

 

4. Treatment Approach

Treatment is tailored and evidence-based, including:

 

  • WorkCover/return-to-work rehabilitation focus

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

  • Solution-Focussed Brief Therapy (SFBT)

  • ACT & mindfulness-based interventions

  • Trauma-informed practice

  • Strengths-based and self-compassion framework

 

We provide timely updates to GPs and collaborate closely to support optimal patient care.

5. Feedback to Referrers

 

GPs receive:

  • An initial feedback letter after the first or second session

  • Progress updates as clinically indicated

  • A review letter prior to 6th session review, or sooner if needed

  • Immediate communication regarding risk or significant concerns

We value collaborative care and appreciate your partnership in supporting patients’ mental health.
